Neil V. Getnick Debates Chamber of Commerce at Cornell Law School to Oppose “Capping” Whistleblower Rewards

Neil Getnick debated Peter Hutt, who represented the the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, on the merits of the Chamber of Commerce’s proposal to amend the False Claims Act to “cap” whistleblower rewards at 15% of the government’s recovery. The debate was hosted at Cornell Law School.

Getnick cited, among other things, a key report by Taxpayers Against Fraud demonstrating the importance of protecting, rewarding, and empowering whistleblowers to fight fraud and corruption.
