The New York Attorney General’s Office today announced that Sprint-Nextel was paying New York State and local governments a record $330 Million to resolve a longstanding whistleblower suit alleging that Sprint-Nextel knowingly under-collected and under-reported its New York sales taxes for years. The New York Attorney General’s office intervened in the action in 2012, litigating the case up to the New York State Court of Appeals.
