Partner Margaret J. Finerty to Moderate NYSBA CLE on Human Trafficking in the Labor Market

Partner Margaret J. Finerty serves as the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) representative on the New York State Interagency Task Force on Human Trafficking.  In that role, Ms. Finerty organized and will moderate NYSBA’s upcoming Continuing Legal Education program entitled, “The Impact of COVID-19 on Human Trafficking in the Labor Market.”  Labor trafficking is a significant problem affecting some of New York State’s most vulnerable populations across many industries, including domestic home health care, construction, and hospitality.  The extent of labor trafficking and its negative effects have been compounded by the COVID-19 pandemic.  This program will discuss the nature of the problem, aids to identify victims, and the New York State laws and services that may provide a path to freedom.
