Medtronic Inc. has agreed to pay $23.5 million to resolve allegations that it paid kickbacks to doctors for using its cardiac rhythm management devices under the guise of payment for post-market studies and device registries. The case was initiated by four whistleblowers who together will share almost $4 million.
