Living and Working for One Another

Getnick & Getnick LLP, one of the nation’s leading law firms specializing in business integrity and corporate transparency, has elected to apply its experience and skills on a pro bono basis to the monitorship of a non-governmental organization providing aid in Africa known as the Ujima Subukia Fund (“USF”). The USF operates a scholarship program in and around the Subukia Constituency (electoral district) in Kenya. The USF and the scholarship program aspire to become a model for NGO organizations that seek to enhance and guarantee transparency and integrity in delivering international and domestic aid.

This NGO is unique from others before it because Getnick & Getnick LLP has applied the Independent Private Sector Inspector General (IPSIG) methodology, which guards against fraud, waste and abuse, as the primary means of overseeing the project’s management. Getnick & Getnick LLP hopes to strengthen donor confidence through enhanced transparency, leading to an era of increased donor contributions.
