Getnick & Getnick partners Neil V. Getnick, Margaret J. Finerty, and Lesley Ann Skillen will again play leading roles in this year’s annual Taxpayer’s Against Fraud Educational Fund conference. This is the 17th annual TAF-EF conference, the nation’s preeminent professional conference for whistleblower attorneys. Mr. Getnick, Chairman of TAF, will moderate a panel entitled, “Whistleblower Perspectives,” highlighting whistleblower experiences and discussing what counsel can do to alleviate stress for their clients, particularly in long-running cases. Ms. Finerty will moderate a panel of private sector and government experts entitled, “The Future of Tax Whistleblower Cases.” This panel will cover emerging trends in tax court litigation as well as a discussion of state false claims acts as vehicles for bringing state tax cases. Ms. Skillen is the Co-chair of this year’s TAF-EF Conference Committee. In addition, she will share her experience and ethics expertise in a panel discussion presenting a review of evolving issues regarding the Rules of Professional Conduct.
