Courtney Finerty-Stelzner

Courtney Finerty-Stelzner is an associate at Getnick & Getnick LLP, where she is actively involved in the firm’s whistleblower, anti-fraud litigation, and business integrity practices.

Ms. Finerty-Stelzner joined Getnick & Getnick in 2018.  From 2013 to 2014, Ms. Finerty-Stelzner served as a law clerk to the Honorable Raymond J. Dearie of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.  From 2014 through 2017, Ms. Finerty-Stelzner was a litigation associate at Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP.  At Patterson Belknap, Ms. Finerty-Stelzner represented clients in complex commercial litigation matters and served on the Monitoring Team for the Newark Police Division, responsible for overseeing NPD’s compliance with a Consent Decree entered into with the U.S. Department of Justice.

Ms. Finerty-Stelzner received her B.A. from Cornell University in 2009, graduating Phi Beta Kappa, and received her J.D. from Cornell Law School, cum laude, in 2013.  At Cornell Law School, Ms. Finerty-Stelzner was the Editor-in-Chief of the Cornell International Law Journal and received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Trial Advocacy.  She is admitted in New York State, and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
